I just ate a huge meal, can I now take Levitra?

Levitra's claim is that taking it with food does not make a difference regardless of what you might possibly eat. Food is said to have no positive or negative effect on the performance of Levitra. Very few people who have taken Levitra said that the effects of the drug were decreased when they ate before taking it compared to taking it on an empty stomach. Some medications claim that consuming food or having an empty or full stomach does not matter. Some require that the medication is taken with food while still others claim the stomach must be empty. Levitra does not claim to have drug and food interactions nor does it state that food will prohibit the drug from working the way that it should but many people over the years that have taken it claim that they notice a significant difference in the way that the Levitra allows them to perform.

Many medicines can be affected by what you eat and when you eat it. When taking some medicines at the same time while you eat may interfere with the way your digestive system absorbs the medicine. The food may hinder or decrease the way that the body absorbs the drug. Read the prescription label on the container. If there is something on there that is not clear then call either your doctor or the pharmacist and have them clarify it for you. Read all directions, warnings and interaction precautions that are listed on the packages. Take your Levitra with a full glass of water. Never take medicine with alcoholic drinks.

Perhaps if you discover that

Levitra works better for you on an empty stomach then since the label will read that food has no effects on it then give it a try by taking it on an empty stomach and see if it seems to work more effectively. As long as you do not suffer from stomach upset or any other side effects then it is likely that here will be no problems. Everyone is different so it only seems logical that the way that particular medications work for them will also be different.

One factor to consider is grapefruit juice as it has an adverse reaction with many prescription drugs sometimes causing serious side effects and other times making medications less effective. Usually these will be listed on the "drug-food interaction" label. The thing is that many never read these labels. Unfortunately, Levitra is one of these drugs where the consumption of grapefruit or grapefruit juice has to be a consideration. The combination of Levitra and grapefruit juice can cause harmful side effects.
